Headteacher’s
Welcome

A very warm welcome to St John Bosco Arts College’s website. Our college is an exciting, vibrant and dynamic girls’ Catholic comprehensive school which has a very distinctive Salesian ethos grounded in support, care and a warm friendly atmosphere.

At St John Bosco Arts College, we pride ourselves on living out our five core values, these are: Love, Faith, Community, Respect and Hope. Our core values uphold our Mission statement by inspiring each other to flourish in faith hope and love.

Our school is a very special community, whereby we welcome each other with cheerfulness in all aspects of school life. The Salesian charism we foster is very important to us. We take inspiration from the life and work of St John Bosco himself by adopting the three pillars of Bosco’s principle: Reason, Religion and loving kindness.

Here at St John Bosco Arts College, everything we do is about putting our young people at the forefront of all of the decisions that we make and the policies that we have. Both the Salesian charism and Gospel values which permeate the ethos of our school, helps us to create a faith community which goes beyond the school day. Our whole school approach ensures that students receive a consistent message which nurtures Catholicity, supports the formation of our students’ development as whole people and prepares them for the service of the Kingdom of God, in turn fulfilling Bosco’s vision for our young to ‘go into the world as good Christians and honest citizens’.

We believe in developing a rounded individual so that students are prepared for life academically, spiritually, morally and socially. In our school community we seek to nurture the gifts, dreams and talents of all in the spirit of St John Bosco.
