Young Lord Mayor

One of our dedicated Students Antonia Hamer has been voted as one of Liverpool’s twelve Young Lord Mayor’s. As part of the selection process Antonia had to deliver a speech at the Liverpool schools Parliament a nerve racking but fantastic opportunity. Antonia's speech obviously struck a chord with her fellow parliament members as along with 11 other candidates following a democratic election, she was elected to this prestigious position.

Antonia has been a member of the student council since the start of year 9 and has also represented the College at the Liverpool Schools Parliament and enjoyed the experience so much she applied for this great opportunity. Antonia and the other 11 Young Lord Mayors were sworn into office on 31st October at the town hall, lead by The Lord Mayor of Liverpool Councillor Sharon Sullivan and witnessed by their families, teachers and local councillors. This is a wonderful experience for Antonia and she is really excited about the challenge ahead.
