Visit to Barcelona

VISIT TO BARCELONA MFL 2013

The Spanish department took 28 students from years 7, 9 and 10 to the Spanish resort of Tossa de Mar in May. We visited some famous sights in Barcelona, including la Sagrada Familia - a famous cathedral by Gaudí that is still being built, las Ramblas - a very busy street with lots of street entertainment, then after lunch in the park we went on to see Barcelona's football stadium, the Nou Camp where we had our pictures taken with some of their trophies! We also went to Girona, a picturesque city with a lovely cathedral, then on to Figueras and the Dalí museum to see lots of famous art work by Salvador Dalí.

After a busy few days we went to Port Aventura theme park and went on lots of rides. We had lovely weather and even got to spend some time at the beach where we took a boat ride around the coastline in a glass bottom boat and saw lots of fish in the sea. We all had a brilliant time!
