On the 24th October all Year 7 students took part in our annual 'Choir of the Year' competition. The girls worked incredibly hard in their music lessons and with their tutors in registration time to learn the words and music for this event. There was great support from family and friends in the audience and we were delighted to welcome along some local primary schools. Every class gave a super performance on the day with the judge (past pupil Jennifer Vaudrey) admitting that it was very difficult to decide who the winners were. Well done to 7B who were awarded the Choir of the Year Cup for their beautiful rendition of ‘Next to me’ and to 7O who won the Primary’s choice award singing ‘Wrecking Ball’. The highlight of the event was when all the Year 7 classes came together at the end to sing ‘Best day of my life’.
