It’s been an incredibly busy term in Drama with students experiencing lots of different theatre in the classroom and beyond!
Our Year 12 and 13 Performing Arts A Level students performed The Tempest, at The Epstein Theatre. This festival, which involves over 1000 schools nationally, was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to experience performing in a real theatre. They worked collaboratively and produced a highly entertaining piece that proved Shakespeare can still thrill and amuse an audience today.
Year 11 Drama GCSE Students were invited to attend a higher eductation conference at Liverpool Hope University, where they got to speak to a variety of organisations that offer Performing Arts courses, across the city. Then the girls were fortunate to see a performance of Romeo and Juliet at the CapstoneTheatre. This was a great adaptation that gave them plenty to write about for their live theatre review.
