On Wednesday 13th May, eight year 8 and 9 students participated in a football competition arranged by the Merseyside police against other schools all in the aid of building healthier and stronger communities. It took a few minutes for the girls to settle and get into the game but once they did they did well, drawing the first game 1-1 and narrowly losing out in the second game. In the final group games the girls beat both Gateacre and ESLA; working really well as a team and scoring some great goals. As a result of this they came 2nd in their group making it through to the knockout stages. Unfortunately, the girls were beaten by St Julie's and were knocked out of the competition. Overall, it was a great competition and a really enjoyable day.
