Geography Field Trip

Year 7 set off for Ainsdale beach on Tuesday morning to complete some important Geography fieldwork, focusing on sand dune succession. By the time we reached the beach at about 10am temperatures were already reaching the mid-20s! The students worked very hard, despite the heat, examining different types of vegetation found on the sand dunes and how this changed the further inland we went. The afternoon was spent having lunch and an ice cream on the beach followed by a very hot bus journey back to school!
