MacMillan Coffee Morning Friday 27th September 2019

St. John Bosco were delighted to host a coffee morning to raise money for the Macmillan charity. Our food technology learners, baked cakes based on the theme of their favourite books and staff entered a baking competition.

We were delighted to welcome so many parents and carers from Year 7. Miss. Strode presented a workshop on Reading for Pleasure, emphasising the importance of reading and exploring strategies in which parents and the college can support their daughter with reading. Miss. Crowley promoted e-safety and Miss Newton outlined the purpose of the Learning Resources Centre and demonstrated how to join the online library service and download books, journals and audio files.

If you would like to join the online library service visit Liverpool Central Library Website.

It was a fabulous morning thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and we raised over £300 for MacMillan. Thanks to everyone who supported us.
