Macmillan Coffee Morning

St. John Bosco were delighted to host a coffee morning to raise money for the Macmillan charity. Year 9 students baked cakes based on the theme of their favourite books and served the parents of our new Year 7 students.Staff got their bake on and entered a baking competition.

During the coffee morning Year 7 parents and carers participated in a book swap. Miss. Strode presented a workshop on Reading for Pleasure, emphasising the importance of reading and exploring ways in which parents can support their daughter with reading.  Miss. Crowley promoted e-safety and Miss Newton outlined the purpose of the LRC and demonstrated how to join the online library service and download books, journals and audio files.

If you would like to join the online library service visit www.readliverpool.co.uk.

It was a fabulous morning thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and we raised £250.50 for Macmillan. Thanks to everyone who supported us.
