Primary Dance Festival


Primary Students ‘WOW’at our Primary Dance Festival 2016

Now in its eighth consecutive year our Primary Dance Festival took place on Thursday 24th November 2016.

6 Linked primary schools were invited to take full advantage of our fantastic dance facilities to take part in the dance show.

Each school were given the task to create a routine that related to a theme, message or an idea and was linked to their current curriculum. The schools and themes were as follows:

Leamington Community Primary: Christingle

Barlows Primary:World Peace

St Alberts Primary: ‘Just because it isn’t happening here, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening’

Croxteth Community Primary: Inspire

St Matthews Primary:Hope and Courage

St Teresa of Lisieux Primary: Life in WW2 Britain

Our Lady & St Swithins Primary: 1920’s


A huge well done to our winners of the ‘Judges Choice Award’ St Alberts Primary School. They were chosen by our guest judges, for expressing their message through dance.

We also had a student voice award, this was chosen by our Deputy Head Girl and 2 performing arts students,congratulations to Barlows Primary for receiving this award.

 

The festival was another huge success, parents, family and friends were invited to attend

Miss Burns, Transition Coordinator said “The atmosphere amongst the children and staff alike was incredible, what a great opportunity for all the young performers”
