. Project PA is a programme where Year 9 and Year 10 pupils become mentors to Year 7 and Year 8 pupils who are at risk of becoming persistent absentees. The groups meet up once a week during registration and they discuss with their mentors what their attendance has been like for the previous week. They then complete a shared task with their mentor discussing such things as barriers to attendance or future career hopes. This gives the mentors an opportunity to develop their leadership skills and act as a positive role model to younger students and to help improve the attendance of the students in Year 7 and 8. Our Mentors of the week have shown, exceptional leadership skills, enthusiasm towards the project and they have gone the extra step to support their Mentee. Well done to all the students involved your doing a great job.
