Providing Remote Education

At St John Bosco, we are doing all we can to support your daughter with her remote education to ensure she continues to make progress during any period where she may need to self isolate.

If your daughter has not participated in a live lesson before, we use a platform called Microsoft Teams. In order to help get your daughter online for any live lessons she has, we have created a PowerPoint, PDF document and loom video that explains exactly how this can be done. These can all be found via the following link:

Please ensure your daughter has read the documents and watched the video to ensure that she is able to get online and make the most of the learning opportunity.

To provide a summary, the following points are essential to note:

  • Your daughter will only be able to access Microsoft Teams by logging in through She will need to use her school email address and password to login
  • There will always be at least 2 members of staff present in the lesson. One will lead the lesson and the other will support by registering attendance and monitoring the chat box
  • Your daughter must always have their microphone and camera switched off or they will be removed from the lesson
  • Attendance at live lessons is compulsory

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of all the staff for your continued support as we all try to ensure that our pupils continue to make progress through these challenging times.
