On Thursday 13th September students had a wonderful learning experience: we celebrated Roald Dahl day at St. John Bosco Arts College.
In English lessons, Year 7 have been analysing the short story ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’. “Lamb to the Slaughter” is a story written by British novelist Roald Dahl and published in the book Someone Like You in the Collective stories of Roald Dahl, 1991. The story showcases great use of irony and reflects the sudden change that happens in human behaviour according to their changing circumstances. It’s a recommended read.
At lunch time the LRC was a hive of activity and students were extremely keen to complete the LRC Roald Dahl Day reading challenge which involved critical thinking around some of Roald Dahl’s most well -known texts.
