We’ve been named finalists at Educate Awards 2026

We’re pleased to announce that St John Bosco Arts College has been shortlisted for the Most Impactful Communications Award, sponsored by CPMM Media Group, at this year’s Educate Awards.

Announced on Wednesday, 16 September, our inclusion in this year’s shortlist marks the second consecutive year of being named finalists in the category, which recognises schools and colleges that have demonstrated exceptional use of communications to achieve a high level of stakeholder engagement.

Since 2024 and the introduction of a new communications manager, we have redefined our communications, launching a dynamic, multi-channel strategy which blends digital innovation with student-led content and proactive outreach.

Ms Nujjoo, communications manager, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for a second year running in the Most Impactful Communications Award category at Educate Awards.

“In the last year alone, we have seen strong stakeholder engagement from current and prospective families. This success is testament to our proactive media relations and social media strategy, supported by our wonderful student editorial team.”

Our student editorial team is made up of 10 committed students, who work with staff and classmates across the school to plan and produce authentic, student-led and community-driven content.

The student editorial team has supported and shaped our communications strategy, while giving students the opportunity to learn vital, transferable skills for their future careers.

Upon hearing the news, our student editors were absolutely delighted and are feeling confident for November:

  • Sairah said: “I feel extremely proud of the team and I’m so glad to have another chance to win!”

  • Darcie said: “I love this team and how much we can accomplish when we work together.”

  • Hollie said: “I can’t wait to see all our hard work pay off.”

  • Freya said: “Who'd have thought it, here we are being nominated for an award!”

  • Brooke said: “I think it’s a massive achievement for us in the editorial team to have a second chance to prove we can win!”

  • Sophie said: “I’m really happy about the nomination – it shows all our hard work is paying off!”

  • Faye said: “I can’t wait - I have faith we are going to win this time!”

Headteacher, Mr Gidman, added: “On behalf of the entire St John Bosco Arts College community, I would like to congratulate Shirine and the student editorial team on being shortlisted, once again, for the Most Impactful Communications Award. Being named finalists is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we’re now looking forward to discovering if they’re crowned winners at the awards ceremony in November.”

We will find out if we are winners on Friday, 13 November, at a spectacular awards ceremony hosted at the iconic Liverpool Cathedral.
