Having been at St John Bosco Arts College for the last five years, I have been able to grow immensely as an individual, allowing me to become who I am today. As Head Girl, I work alongside the Student Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team to represent the school values throughout all the work we do.
At St John Bosco, students are encouraged and supported by their peers, teachers and the School giving them the chance to achieve their full potential. I have been able to access so many amazing opportunities such as a STEM club scholar, being part of the school productions, sporting activities with the PE department and completing the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
There is a broad subject range provided at GCSE and A-level, allowing students to develop and widen their knowledge in many areas, providing them with a stepping stone to their future aspirations and opening doors to other routes which they may have not explored.
Alongside gaining subject knowledge we are able to learn additional skills throughout focused sessions in form, extra-curricular activities and PSHE lessons. Programs such as Aspire, Pathways and Step Up alongside many various work experiences are promoted and available for everyone to take part in and benefit from.
As Head Girl, I hope to be an inspirational role model, an advocate for Student Voice and make positive changes within the School and community. I aspire to leave a message that conveys my journey at St John Bosco Arts College so this can inspire others to overcome any barriers that they may face and become the best version of themselves.
Olivia Tinsley, Headgirl.
