Mathematics has always been at the forefront of human culture and development. By building on pupils’ own experiences Mathematics encourages the growth of thinking, reasoning and communication skills, providing a structure for the development of knowledge, skills and understanding required for life. Mathematics is essential to fill intellectual development and should be fun.
As a department we set high expectations for all of our students. The department offers a variety of teaching and learning techniques to cater for the needs of each and every student and these techniques help to motivate them into learning, understanding and enjoying Maths.
