The Archdioceses are contactable on: 0151 522 1071 or aes@rcaol.org.uk

Appeals for normal year of entry, i.e. Year 7, are arranged each year generally according to the following timetable. The dates may vary depending on whether the offer date falls on a weekend and may also differ slightly from those given by the Local Authority:

Secondary offer date: 1 March 2024
Appeals to be lodged by: 30 March 2024
Appeals to be heard: 18 June 2024 or as soon thereafter

The aim is to hold all appeal hearings within 40 school days after the deadline. In some exceptional circumstances we may need to hold hearings after this date. Appellants will be given 14 days’ notice of an appeal hearing date and time.

Appeals will be heard as soon as reasonably practicable following the appeal deadline.

In-year appeals Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard on a date to be arranged within 30 school days of the appeal form being received by the Education Department at the Archdiocese or presently as soon as thereafter given the implications of the COVID-19 public health challenge.
