Shakespeare Day

William Shakespeare is England’s most loved poet and regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. To celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday on the 23rd of April, why not enter the Young Writers Shakespeare Day Poetry Competition.

Complete your poem on the entry form attached, pick up a paper copy from the Library Helpdesk or type up on a word document. Return your completed poems to the Library Helpdesk or send your entry as soon as possible via school emails to Miss Kinsella.

If poetry isn't your thing, then there will be Shakespeare themed activities in the library at break and lunch (word searches, colouring sheets and a ‘famous quotes’ quiz) as well as a recommended reads display and fun facts hidden about the library.
