Empathy Day

Empathy Day this year is celebrated on Thursday 12th June 2025. Empathy is being able to experience and understand other people’s feelings and points of view. The EmpathyLab mission is to “Read stories, build empathy, make a better world” (find out more about Empathy Day in the guide attached / click on the image below).

Empathy Books

Empathy is learnable, so why not try a title from the Empathy Day 2025 Book Collection (listed in the guide) and keep track of your reading with the ‘How Many Have You Read?’ poster (You can down load here) Remember, students can borrow the books from the library and pick up a paper copy of the reading tracker from the Library Helpdesk.

Empathy Shorts

EmpathyLab’s collection of Empathy Shorts are designed to make sure that every child has access to an empathy-boosting story. Each story in the collection gives a unique take on seeing life from another’s perspective. Enjoy reading them on your own, or share with your family and friends.
