Students could add their favourite poems to the 'Poet-Tree' in the library and there was pop-up poetry posted around the school on the day as well as a display in the library.

Students also have the chance to become a published poet by entering the Young Writers 'Unite' poetry competition; entry details are on ClassCharts and on the competitions board in the library. Typed entry forms should be emailed to Miss Kinsella by the closing date Friday 23rd October 2026.
The Student Editors also caught up with some of their teachers to create a special reading of one their favourite poems by Daniel Thompson called “Never Stop Learning”. Watch their video below:
