Fashion Show

Model students showed off their style on the catwalk at the annual St John Bosco Fashion Show last month, showcasing fashion from New Look and coursework made by students in years 9-13.

Some very talented students make a wide range of clothing during their time in the Textiles and Fashion department, starting in year 9 with recycled fashion; through GCSE coursework in years 10 & 11 with a wide range of different design briefs; to costumes for the school productions made as part of the 6th form course.

In addition, as part of their BTEC Fashion & Clothing course, 6th form students researched the trends for summer 2014 from the catwalks of New York, London, Paris, and Milan, selecting the most popular as the focus for their sections of the show. Every year, New Look stores very generously loan us a selection of outfits, which the students style on the models for our show: this year we had neon prints, monochrome, boho festival, and pastel trends on the catwalk.

Backstage and dressing areas were managed by 6th form Fashion students, who along with the models did a fantastic job displaying their work!
