A Musical Welcome fit for The King

As Liverpool prepares to host the Eurovision song contest the city was delighted to welcome King Charles and the Queen Consort to officially open the celebrations, just weeks before his coronation. Four of our very talented musicians were thrilled to be performing as the Royal couple arrived with the Resonate Brass Ensemble.

Lebone, Charlotte, Clare and Aniela, are all members of the Brass Ensemble. Travelling over to the Resonate Hub every week they take part in a range of music workshops and lessons developing their skills and playing with other young people across the city. Resonate allows these students to flourish and this event was a wonderful way to show off their skills to a very prestigious audience.

Playing a Eurovision classic “Making Your Mind Up” by Bucks Fizz the Ensemble were in full swing as the King arrived for the official opening. Mrs Finnigan Head of Department for music said “This was amazing musical experience and one they will no doubt remember forever! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication to Music”.
