Key Stage 5

The sixth form at St John Bosco Arts College is an exciting place to learn, achieve and succeed. Our expert and dedicated sixth form team offer students individual time and support to ensure that all students reach their full potential. In addition to subject tutors, students are supported by a Form Tutor, Pupil Progress Coordinator and an Assistant Headteacher who oversees all matters relating to the sixth form.

We are proud of our rich and varied curriculum, with a wide variety of subjects and courses on offer. Students can choose from A Levels, Applied A Levels and BTEC courses. We also offer GCSE English and Maths for those students who have not achieved a grade C in either of these subjects on entry.

Our outstanding and bespoke enrichment programme offers opportunities to get involved in a variety of cultural, sporting and charity events, alongside gaining additional qualifications and accreditation for the pathway followed.

The progress of students and the quality of teaching and learning in our Sixth Form has officially been recognised as outstanding by Ofsted: "Students who stay on into Year 12 and 13 are progressing quickly because of the outstanding quality of teaching they receive."

Our sixth form offers unique educational opportunities enabling all students to develop their own personal skills and qualities, as well as flourishing academically. Students are taught in an atmosphere of mutual respect and become an integral member of our valued community. We are passionate about success and providing our students with the aspirations and opportunities to maximise their potential.
